Maisa Leilani Ziegler, LCSW, ERYT 500, Body Worker, Medicine Integration

My greatest passion in life is empowering people to embrace their most present and authentic selves. As a therapist, I believe that therapy is not just a process but a practice—a way to help us create the lives we truly desire. Therapy is a tender journey, guiding the soul to express its most genuine and unguarded self.

I believe that neither I nor my clients should fit inside a label. My personal growth journey began when I transitioned careers and started healing layers of trauma. Like everyone, I’m continuously growing and evolving.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 10 years navigating as a ships officer on the seas and living in Bali, Australia, the Philippines, and Europe. During these years, I encountered many challenges and discovered healing modalities that helped me reconnect with my true self. Now, I’m passionate about sharing the knowledge and tools I gained with my community.

I understand that healing is not a straightforward path. There are many approaches to reclaiming wholeness, and I aim to support clients in learning how to transform any experience or emotion into a source of growth and strength. My practice is informed by my own healing journey, allowing me to empathize deeply with the complexities of the process.

It is my hope that we can return to your most expressed and empowered self.

In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work, I am a mother, a maritime support specialist, a 500 hr ERYT yoga guide, a ThaiVedic Body Worker (ThaiVedic: Combines Ayurveda and modern healing techniques), and have a Masters Degree in Social Work (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).

I have combined my 10 years of maritime experience with over 8 years of individual psychotherapy experience, and 6 years facilitating psychotherapy groups to create the therapist that I am today.

I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years and have studied in depth yoga philosophy, physical yoga practice, and holistic health. I believe that movement with intention can create energy flow through the body - something that our modern lifestyles often compromise.

My sessions are influenced by my love of story telling, breathe, movement, and metaphors.  My sessions and practice are adaptable to life circumstances and physical wellbeing.

I love to share my passion for healing  and find inspiration in everyday life. When I’m not teaching or serving others, you can find me living in my North Shore home or swimming in the ocean with my family.
